Recently, Bestobell Valves announced that it has supplied cryogenic valves to the LNG power ferry "MV Armand-Imbeau II". The vessel has been launched at the Chantier Davie Shipyard in Canada.

It is understood that this is the first of a series of two dual-fuel ferries being built by Canadian ferry operator Société des Traversiers du Québec, which uses the LNGPac fuel storage system. The two ferries are also the first LNG powered ships built in North America.

The ferry is 92 meters long. Each ferry has two decks and eight rows of parking spaces, which can transport 110 vehicles, including tractors. The ferry uses an LNG engine. Unlike conventional propulsion systems, electric propellers are used on board.

It is reported that the first ferry "MV Armand-Imbeau II" is expected to be delivered this fall, and the second ship "MV Jos-Deschênes II" will be delivered by the end of this year.
