According to statistics, from January to October, the production and sales of domestically-produced automobiles reached 7.225 million units and 7.15 million units, an increase of 22.60% and 24.02% year-on-year. Among them, the production and sales of passenger cars were 5,142,300 and 5,079,400, an increase of 21.70% and 23.57%; the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 2,080,200 and 2,207,900, an increase of 24.88 from the same period of last year. % and 25.14%.
In October, the overall production and sales of automobiles declined from the previous month, but continued to show significant growth year-on-year. Among them, 7.131 million vehicles were produced, a decrease of 5.80% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 21.11%; sales of 692,300 units were down 10.41% from the previous month and an increase of 20.12% from the same period last year.
From January to October, the top ten automobile manufacturers in terms of sales volume were: SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng, Chang'an, BAIC, GAC, Chery, Brilliance, Hafei, and Geely. The above-mentioned 10 companies sold a total of 5,960,400 automobiles, accounting for 83% of the total sales of automobiles.
From January to October, the top ten passenger car sales rankings were: SAIC-GM-Wuling, FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, Shanghai Volkswagen, Chery, Changan, Guangzhou Honda, Dongfeng Nissan, FAW Toyota and Beijing Hyundai. The above-mentioned 10 companies have sold 2,984,200 passenger cars, accounting for 58% of the total passenger car sales.
From January to October, the top ten commercial vehicle sales rankings were: Beiqi Foton, Dongfeng, FAW, Jianghuai, Jinbei shares, CNHTC, Changan Co., Jiangling, Nanqi, and Shaanxi Auto. The above-mentioned 10 companies have sold 1.397 million commercial vehicles, accounting for 67% of the total commercial vehicle sales.
