Bridgestone Tire Company announced that it will invest 120 million euros (about 150 million U.S. dollars) to upgrade its Polish plant's truck and passenger car radial tire production capacity.
The investment is expected to increase the daily tire production capacity of Polish factories by 1,350 to 3,750, and the expansion of the factory is expected to be completed in the second half of 2014.
The Bridgestone Poland plant was put into operation in 2009 and covers an area of ​​about 1 million square meters. It mainly produces truck and passenger car radial tires. It employs about 620 people and currently produces about 2,400 tires a day.
