In the domestic commercial vehicle and special car exhibitions, there are few commercial vehicle concept cars. In foreign countries, the international truck brands Mercedes, Scania, Volvo and Mann have introduced concept trucks and gained good brand influence.
The author believes that the failure of the auto show to achieve the company’s expected display effect is one reason, but commercial vehicle companies are also critical in developing their own strength. No matter whether it is a truck or a passenger car, Chinese enterprises are still inferior to the international advanced level in terms of technical strength, and the attributes of trucks as production materials are obvious. Enterprises are eager to open up the market. There is no more manpower, material resources, and financial resources to develop a concept car that does not have market access. Except for displaying new models, there are not many “dotting†points. Although the concept car can not help enterprises to seize the market share, it can greatly enhance the brand image, at the same time, is also a demonstration of corporate strength.
Comparing domestic and foreign commercial vehicle companies, first-line brands are almost simultaneously performing technology research and development and brand maintenance. In China, because technology is still a weakness, its market strategy is relatively backward. The author believes that domestic commercial vehicle companies should focus their efforts on technological advancement and break through the market with technological superiority in order to break through the restrictions of audience differences and attract more attention.
