1. Select the diameter of the water meter, based on the pipe mouth and flow rate equal to or less than the flow rate commonly used by the water meter;
2. The double-type water meter should be installed horizontally with the surface facing up. The direction of the arrow on the case is the same as the direction of the water flow. The installation position should avoid exposure, freezing, pollution and flooding, so as to read and unload the meter. The newly installed pipeline must be flushed with stones, silt, hemp and other debris in the pipe, and then installed in the water meter to avoid water meter failure;
3. For easy disassembly and maintenance, valves should be installed on the upstream and downstream of the water meter, and the inlet and outlet of the water meter should have straight pipe sections of the same diameter. The length of the straight pipe is not less than three times the diameter of the pipe;
4. It is recommended to install a filter upstream of the water meter to prevent debris from entering the pipeline from damaging the water meter.
5. Install the necessary straight pipe section or its equivalent rectifier on the upstream and downstream of the water meter. The length of the upstream straight pipe section is not less than 10D, and the downstream straight pipe section is not small and 5D (D is the nominal diameter of the water meter). For eddy currents caused by elbows or centrifugal pumps, a rectifier must be installed in front of the straight pipe section.
6. When installing the water meter, it should be noted that the water outlet of the downstream pipeline of the water meter is higher than the water meter by more than 0.5M, and the water meter is inaccurate due to insufficient water flow in the pipeline.
7. The water meter has excellent anti-blocking performance, but it is sensitive to siltation and weeds in the tube, and should be avoided during use. If there is silt and weed in the pipeline, it should be cleaned immediately, otherwise it will affect the normal metering of the water meter.
