Geely Automobile News According to foreign media reports, Nissan released a new plan yesterday (March 26, 2018) that will use "rebeared" batteries to replace LEAF models of used batteries. Compared to the new battery, this "remake" battery gives the user a certain price discount.
After a long period of use, the on-board battery capacity of electric vehicles will decline, which is unavoidable. Under normal circumstances, the decay rate (decrease) of battery capacity is only a few percentage points, but some Nissan Leaf owners reported that the decay rate of their on-board battery capacity is relatively large.
The Nissan Leaf has promised to consume 66% of the electricity per hundred miles traveled in 96 months (8 years). However, according to a recent study, the original battery of 24 kWh was used for 5 years and its battery capacity was reduced by 20% of the original battery capacity.

Interestingly, the research report also pointed out that Nissan's original 30 kWh battery even attenuates older batteries. In contrast, the Tesla Model S and Model X earlier performed better, with a battery capacity decay rate of only 10% after driving 150,000 miles.
In order to alleviate the problem of battery capacity degradation, Nissan released a new battery replacement plan, starting with Japan. If the Nissan owners purchase the new original 24 kWh, 30 kWh and 40 kWh vehicle batteries, the price paid is 650,000 yen (about 6200 US dollars), 800,000 yen (about 7600 U.S. dollars), 820,000 days Yuan (about 7800 U.S. dollars).
Fortunately, only 300,000 yen (approximately $2,850) is needed to purchase a remake battery. (This article is taken from electrek.co)
