The new digital carbon dioxide detector is composed of carbon dioxide sensor, temperature sensor, temperature acquisition control single-chip microcomputer, industrial computer, RS232 signal transmission circuit, voltage adapter circuit, display screen, battery charge control circuit and instrument power surge overvoltage protection circuit. The carbon dioxide sensor uses a dual-beam infrared carbon dioxide sensor to produce a compact infrared gas sensor. The sensor has a temperature compensation function and is oxygen-free. It is a general-purpose, intelligent miniature sensor. It is easy to use and widely used in the presence of Carbon dioxide gas in various occasions, with stable performance, high precision, long life, less maintenance, low cost and so on.
The CO2 observation instrument began development of carbon dioxide observation instruments in 2011, and conducted experimental observations at the Chicheng Seismic Station, Houhao Kiln Hydration Observation Station and the Yangyuan Seismic Station. The working principle and system design of the new digital carbon dioxide detector are demonstrated through experiments, demonstrating the feasibility of carbon dioxide infrared gas sensing technology in the measurement of carbon dioxide fault gas and dissolved gas. The instrument can be used not only for observation of carbon dioxide in the gas from dissolved gas in underground stations, but also in the observation of unmanned carbon dioxide observation arrays and active fault detection under changing power supply mode and communication mode. .
Using a digital CO2 detector to observe the infrared absorption spectrum using infrared absorption principle of carbon dioxide, there is a strong absorption peak at wavenumber 2342cm-1. The absorption relationship obeys the Lambert-Beer absorption law, and the relationship between the intensity I of the emitted light, the intensity I of the incident light, and the volume fraction C of the gas. When the molar absorption coefficient is fixed, the carbon dioxide volume fraction can be calculated by detecting the intensity of the emitted light. Due to different molecular structures of gas molecules, their absorption peak positions are also different. Using infrared light with a wave number of 2342 cm-1 as a light source to detect carbon dioxide volume fraction is not easily affected by the concentration of other gas molecules.
The carbon dioxide sensor is placed in the middle of the air collecting device of the outdoor fault soil. The gas gathering device is generally located in the sand layer 5 to 10m deep below the ground surface. The host is installed in the observation room, and the sensor is connected to the host computer cable. The length is about 15m. Carbon dioxide infrared gas sensing technology for the feasibility of carbon dioxide gas and dissolved gas measurement. The new digital CO2 detector developed by the project team is characterized by high sensitivity, high stability, networking, and intelligence.
