Recently, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry officially put into operation the world's largest 2,000-ton gantry crane built for the Brazilian BrasFELS shipyard. After two weeks of functional testing and load testing, the gantry crane received a license issued by the American Bureau of Shipping and performed well in the first lifting mission.
At present, the BrasFELS shipyard is constructing a floating storage and offloading unit (FPSO). The top of the tower of the flare tower is up to 135 meters away from the rail surface. It needs a crane with a high lifting height to install. The lifting height of the company is 110 for the shipyard. The gantry crane with a weight of 2,000 tons and successfully lifted the problem. The excellent performance of the gantry crane is perfectly displayed in the hoisting FPSO torch tower. It takes only half a day to complete all lifting tasks smoothly, which greatly reduces the high cost of installing the floating crane or setting up a dedicated platform for installation.
