The preliminary survey results showed that there are 47 domestic companies producing food cling film, including 41 polyethylene food cling film production enterprises, 6 PVC food cling film production enterprises, and PVC food cling film annual output 10,000 tons. The results of the special national supervision and spot checks on PVC food wrap films showed that the content of vinyl chloride monomer in all 44 products was less than 1 mg/kg, which complied with national standards. However, some polyvinyl chloride wraps used for packaging contain DEHA that the country does not allow.
