The first phase of the project will build the main building and three test stands, each designed to test 2,500 kW engines. In addition, various gas storage facilities have been built to test newly developed gas engines. The first phase investment is about 40 million euros and is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.
In the second phase of the project, four test stands will be built to test the 4500 kW engine, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2015 with an investment of 22 million euros.
The first and second phase of the test bench will be able to test the MTU 1600, 2000 and 4000 series of gas and diesel engines. In the future, all seven test benches will be able to test all engine series.
