CHONGQING (December 11, 2012) Kauteshis built a new factory in Chongqing, the company’s fourth factory in China, which will provide plastic fuel tanks for automobile manufacturers.
The factory will set up a production line in the first phase. It will employ 28 people and plans to expand it to four production lines. The number of employees will increase to 150.
Katos also opened its first verification center in Guangzhou to test plastic fuel tanks for Chinese and Asian automakers. The test facility is part of the larger Kautex plant and has 10 employees.
Kautex is a subsidiary of Texton Corporation and produces fuel tanks, blow molded ducts, oil storage tanks and other components. The company employs 5,400 people in 15 countries and is headquartered in Bonn, Germany.
