It is reported that the research of this system is based on the "Twelve Five Year" water pollution control and treatment science and technology major project "Taihu Lake Flooding" and water bloom disaster emergency treatment technology research and engineering demonstration. Since this project was launched in 2012, it has obtained a number of technological breakthroughs.
In the research and development work of the monitoring, forecasting, and early warning software and hardware systems, the research team constructed the “Lake Flooding†monitoring index system. The researchers installed two sets of automatic online monitoring platforms in Laoshan Bay, one of the most serious areas in the "lake flooding" phenomenon in Taihu Lake, and obtained a number of monitoring data to drive and validate the "lake flooding" forecast and early warning model. In addition, the “Lake Flooding†early-warning platform constructed by the research team can predict the occurrence of cyanobacteria blooms in the next three days and provide accurate information for monitoring and management.
The successful research and development of the "Lake Pan" monitoring, forecasting, and early warning software and hardware system has filled the technological gap in China and provided a powerful guarantee for the work of Taihu Lake.
