Smart Garbage Bin with IoT on the streets of San Francisco
From May 28 to June 6, the author conducted a 10-day e-works Innovation Tour of the 2nd US Industrial Internet with the delegation and inspected a series of innovations including Boeing, Intel, Oracle, Cisco, ANSYS and QAD Eight companies surveyed cover top technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, 3D printing, lean manufacturing, virtual simulation and big data analytics.
On the way back from my trip, I watched a movie on Mount Everest describing the movie, and once again heard the motto "why mountain climbing, because the mountain is there," I could not help feeling emotionally. Why should we organize entrepreneurs in China's manufacturing industry to visit the United States for thousands of miles? Because the global technology innovation "Everest" is there. In fact, this study made us understand the mainstream trend of the development and application of IT technology in the manufacturing industry in the United States. What impresses us most is the technical application represented by the Internet of Things, human-computer interaction and cloud computing, which gives the industry a handy communication tool.
Internet of Things has become the focus of industrial information
During this visit, both chip maker Intel, enterprise software leader Oracle, communication giant Cisco, engineering design software leader Autodesk, or simulation software giant ANSYS, invariably convey their understanding of the application of the Internet of Things to the delegation, introduced Related solutions. In fact, the Internet of things is indeed a huge market that is far greater than the Internet. Therefore, major US manufacturers have laid out their products in the mega-trend of application of Internet of Things.
Well-known management guru Michael Porter points out in the "Enterprise Competitive Strategy of the Internet of Things Times" that the level of application of the Internet of Things can be divided into the monitoring, control, optimization and automation of the intelligent interconnected products. The IoT ecosystem includes areas such as data sensing / acquisition, data network transmission, data storage / presentation / analysis / optimization, and industry applications. Among them, Intel of this visit is devoted to providing operating system, security system, computing / storage / communication, data analysis and development platform for IoT applications; while Oracle focuses on providing a cloud platform in IoT applications, Object connectivity, analytics, and application software integration; Cisco provides IoT networking connectivity devices, device security and data security, data analytics, and application integration; ANSYS provides IoT hardware emulation analysis solutions; Tableau's expertise is the presentation and analysis of data.
In February 2016, the standardization organization in the field of Internet of things - the Open Internet of Standards Alliance was formally established to create an open source agreement that all manufacturers can use in their products without being limited by the chipset and operating system. No matter who develops IoT products, it is possible to connect to devices developed by large companies through protocols. China Information and Communication Research Institute has also become a member of the organization. At the same time, the Industrial Internet Alliance sponsored by GE is also very active. Well-known research institute ARC has long been concerned about the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. Based on the Internet of Things, Cisco has put forward the concept of Internet of Everything, which includes the networking of people, things, processes, and data.
Nickel And Nickel Alloys
Nickel is a versatile, highly corrosion resistant element that will alloy with most metals. Due to its corrosion resistance, nickel is used to maintain product purity in the processing of foods and synthetic fibers. It is highly resistant to various reducing chemicals and is unexcelled in resistance to caustic alkalies. In addition, nickel has good thermal, electrical and magnetostrictive properties. Relatively high thermal conductivity of this metal has lead to its frequent use for heat exchangers
Commercially pure or low-alloy nickel may contain very small amounts of alloying elements to absolutely none. By contrast nickel alloys contain significant amounts of added elements. Nickel and nickel alloys are both non-ferrous metals that are useful in a range of applications, most of which involve corrosion resistance and/or heat resistance.
