On December 14, 2012, Shell (China) Co., Ltd. signed an office lease agreement with Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park to establish a Shell Asia Lubricant R&D Center in Shanghai to provide more convenient services to customers in Asia and the Middle East. The center will also be part of Shell's global network of technology centers.
According to reports, the center is expected to be officially launched at the beginning of 2014, focusing on technological innovation and application development in China. Most of its researchers will be local scientists and technicians, and more than half will have doctorates. Studies have shown that China will become the largest market for Shell lubricants. The establishment of Shell Lubricant Center in Shanghai will not only provide better access to the market and consumers, but also provide partners with competitive advanced technology solutions, as well as next year's spring cultivation of fertilizers. Participants focused on analyzing the recent price changes of individual fertilizers and studied related countermeasures.
